2000: Commercial website Atelier 2 www.atelier2.ch Year 2000: As one of the very first small architecture offices in eastern Switzerland, Atelier 2 Architektur GmbH decided to do the next step into "new technology" and invest in a commercial website. The main target of this project was to show the existing buildings to the public. With detailed descriptions, square metre and other informations as well as several pictures for every building, the website became a great online catalog.

Technical solution
The website was completely done with pure HTML and static pages. The 50+ different building objects caused a lot of work, not only because EVERY picture had to be scanned (the original pictures were in a physical show catalog). I decided to use a typical frame layout at this time.

Comment
When I look at the way and the many many working hours invested in that project, I would have been very happy if I already knew the way of programming dynamic web-pages back in 2000. However it was the first commercial experience in this direction and at the age of 15 very happy of the final salary :-). The website now in 2008 is still the same, updated with some newer informations and new pictures of course. I am sure this project has to be completely redone in some time.
