Thanks to Ludovic Hutin there is a new (bugfix) release of the known Nagios plugin check_esxi_wbem.py.
In fact, he discovered a problem with Dell Blade Servers: When the plugin is run against an ESXi host which runs on a Dell Blade Server, the serial number in the output would be the one from the Blade Chassis instead of the Blade Server itself. He added a new variable SerialNumber to the sourcecode which would be overwritten if the ElementName is "Server Blade".
While this worked fine in his environment, the plugin wouldn't work anymore for all "normal" servers so I made a bugfix and now it works fine on both Dell Blade Servers and all other servers (the correct serial number of the server running ESX/i is now shown).
